Accutome Introduces Customized Premium Surgery Diamond Knives

Malvern, Pa – 02/22/2010 – Accutome is introducing two new customized diamond knife packages.  These new packages contain the latest in diamond blade technology. 

The new Premium Cataract Surgery Package features a Simplicity Clear Cornea Diamond Knife, Hawkeye Premium Series Sideport Diamond Knife, and a Donnenfeld LRI Diamond Knife.  Surgeons will save over 20% purchasing these knives in a package.

Accutome’s Simplicity Diamond Knife features a unique top and bottom bevel design which creates a self sealing incision with a single pass.  Linear incisions are created without having to applanate or “dimple down”.  It available in the new 2.2mm and 2.4 mm designs.

Accutome is also offering the new Astigmatism Management Package which features three Donnenfeld LRI Diamond knives and a free LRI or toric marker.  Surgeons are able to customize each blade’s pre-set depths and handle styles (standard or short) at a cost comparable to that of one adjustable depth diamond knife.

Accutome’s Donnenfeld LRI Diamond Knife is designed with a 15° angled footplate that better applanates the cornea and creates perpendicular incisions at a more consistent depth when compared to straight footplate knives.
