Accutome Launches New A-Scan Biometer for Premium IOLs

Jan 06

Malvern, PA - January 2011 - Accutome is proud to announce the launch of their new A-Scan Plus® 4.20.  This new unit features intuitive software and upgraded hardware to meet the precision demands of premium IOLs.  The A-Scan Plus is the single most effective solution for measuring and calculating all of your patients and refining your surgical outcomes for cataract surgery.  It has the ability to measure 100% of patients and works great with dense cataracts and patients with fixation difficulties.

The A-Scan Plus has the best resolution and largest screen size for precise and reproducible axial length measurements.  Achieve superior surgical outcomes with the automatic personalization of lens constants.  The alignment detection feature eliminates marginally aligned scans.  It is loaded with modern third and fourth generation formulas including the Hoffer®Q, SRK/T, Holladay, Haigis, as well as new post refractive formulas.

The new A-Scan Plus also features three new USB ports which allows for unlimited printer, keyboard, and USB memory stick options.  The internal memory is three times greater than the previous A-Scan Plus model.  The user can backup data on a USB memory stick or personal computer.  This information can then be uploaded to EMR.

Accutome makes it a top priority to train facilities on the importance of accurate biometry which is why every purchase of an A-Plus includes an onsite instruction program.
